About $1,000 – $1,650 a week Commission on every job you close, no hourly base. The range is an estimate from the volume this route runs today. We go through the exact rate on the phone.1099 contractor · paid every two weeks · statement with every paymentApply for this route ↓

The route

A full route across Orlando and Central Florida: Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Lake Nona, Kissimmee, Sanford, Oviedo, Winter Garden. You take it over in your first week, 70 to 150 jobs a month, so you're not starting from an empty calendar.

This posting is for working techs. If you have two or more years on residential appliances and can take a no-cool fridge from symptom to fix without calling anyone, keep reading. If you're looking to get into the trade, this isn't the one. We're not set up to train on this route, and it wouldn't be fair to either of us.

The work

Dispatch fills your day and the route is on your phone every morning. You diagnose it, pull the model and serial, quote it, fix it. Mostly Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Frigidaire, with enough Sub-Zero, Viking, Bosch and Thermador that it helps to know them. Part of the route is commercial: restaurants and commercial kitchens, repair and maintenance.

You don't sell. Your commission comes from repairs you finish, not from talking someone into a compressor they don't need. Invoices go out on their own and most payments collect themselves. If you hit a real question, you call. We're a small shop, not a call center.

What you need

  • Two years or more on residential appliances: fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges. On the phone we'll ask about the last sealed-system job you did and the last one you couldn't fix. We want to hear both.
  • Commercial experience is a big plus. We service restaurants and commercial kitchens too, so if you've worked on commercial refrigeration, ice machines or commercial laundry, say so in your application.
  • You can work a fault from symptom to fix on your own. A question now and then is fine. A walkthrough on every job isn't.
  • Your own hand tools, multimeter included, and a vehicle you can rely on. You cover your own vehicle, and the rate is set with that in mind.
  • A Florida driver's license
  • EPA 608 for sealed-system work. If you have everything else and not this, we'll pay to get you certified.
  • Clean and respectful in someone's home. Photos and a signed work order every visit.

How the pay works

A percentage of every job you close

No hourly base, and we're not going to dress that up. Every repair you finish, you get your cut. On the volume this route runs today, that's about $1,000 to $1,650 a week. More jobs, more of it.

You don't sell. Dispatch fills your day.

The route is on your phone every morning and the customers already trust the name on the invoice. You diagnose it, you fix it, you get paid on it. Nobody's asking you to talk anyone into anything.

A statement with every payment

Every job and every number on it, so you can check our math against yours. 1099, paid every two weeks, no waiting on a customer to settle up before you get paid.

We don't print the percentage here. On the call we go through it in real numbers, from real jobs on this route, and the written offer has every number in it.

How hiring works

  1. You apply

About three minutes. Resume if you have one, no problem if you don't.

  2. We read it and come back to you inside 48 hours

    A person reads every one.

  3. A ten-minute call, if it looks like a fit

We go through the pay using real jobs from this route, not ranges.

  4. A paid working day

You ride the real route. You see the work, we see you work. Paid, same day.

  5. A written offer

    With every number in it.

I reached out to QLAMA early in the day as I was made aware that my GE Cafe dishwasher was leaking at the bottom. I called and they were able to have someone come out that same evening. Amir was able to diagnose the problem and fix it all within the same appointment and at a reasonable price. As I was out of state, Amir stayed in constant contact and sent multiple photos and videos. I’d definitely recommend them again.

Someone came out the same day I called and diagnosed the problem with my Samsung front-loading washing machine in just a few minutes. Andrew was prompt and courteous. It was late on a Friday so we had to wait a couple of days for the part to come in, then he came back Monday and fixed it in less than 20 minutes. It seemed a little pricey but they offer a discount to new customers and didn't charge a credit card fee. It would have cost at least double to replace the whole washer, and it's running good as new again, so I can't complain!
